The Lisbon boys basketball team concluded their 2022-23 season Friday, Feb. 17 with a second round loss to Central City. The first campaign with new head coach Levi Montague wrapped at 10-13 overall.
Monday, Feb. 13
The Lions first picked up a win over Clayton Ridge on the road. The first round game found Lisbon defeat the Eagles 46-36.
Clayton Ridge would take an early lead after one quarter played, jumping ahead to 11-6.
By halftime, the Lions would have a two-point edge at 23-21. They would lead the remainder of the game.
Michael Gadberry led all scorers by a wide margin, dropping 20 of his team’s 46 points.
Lions sophomore Grayson Wollum had a sturdy showing with nine points and five rebounds.
Senior Luke Czarnecki contributed seven points and seven boards.
Mason Lehmer pulled in six rebounds and two steals.
Friday, Feb. 17
Lisbon’s post-season adventure ended with a 58-49 road loss to the Central City Wildcats.
The Lions had a 19-16 advantage at the half, but the Wildcats outgunned their visitors 25-9 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
