The Linn County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on March 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. to set the total maximum property tax levy for the fiscal year 2024 budget. The public hearing will be held at the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW in Cedar Rapids.
The official public hearing notice, including details on the proposed maximum property tax levy, is available on Linn County’s website. At the public hearing any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of, the proposed tax levy.
After adoption of the proposed tax levy, the Board of Supervisors will publish notice and hold a final public hearing in March to adopt the County’s FY24 budget.

The Linn County Board of Supervisors works with the County’s Finance & Budget staff, other elected officials, and department heads to develop Linn County’s annual budget over a three-month period during more than 20 public meetings.
Fiscal year 2024 begins July 1, 2023, and ends June 30, 2024.
