Stakeholders for the Lisbon School District were much happier with the revised plans for the Career and Technical Education wing the school is looking to begin constructing this summer.
Superintendent Autumn Pino said there were many positive comments about the revised plans discussed by the board in late December and early January.
Emergent Architecture was in the schools Wednesday, Feb. 8, to hold discussions with different groups Emergent plans to come back at the end of February for final discussions, and will start work on 3-D renderings of the plans, ahead of the projects going to bid.
The CTE advisory committee was able to review the plans and discussion Wednesday afternoon, a partnership Pino says will be instrumental for the program moving forward, as discussions will continue on learning opportunities, resources and materials they might need as well as more CTE opportunities for students.
Emergent’s timeline has the project currently going out for bids May 18, with those bids being awarded in the middle of June.
The construction project has a summer 2024 completion date.
