Chance Gombert, 19, Marion, was injured in a one vehicle crash on Hwy. 1 Saturday, Jan. 28. Gombert was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Lisbon-Mount Vernon Ambulance Service.
According to Sgt. Chad Watkinson of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received the report of the crash at 10:38 p.m. Gombert was northbound on Hwy. 1 near Linn Ridge Road. As he was driving, he lost control of his vehicle, entering the east ditch. His vehicle than exited the ditch, coming back onto Hwy. 1. The vehicle then rolled, before coming to rest on all four tires in the southbound lane.
Gombert was cited for failure to maintain control.
