Mary Goslin, 44, Mount Vernon and Amanda Dragon, 22, were injured in a Friday, Jan. 20 crash. Goslin and Dragon were both transported by Lisbon Mt Vernon Ambulance to a local hospital for serious injuries. A passenger in Dragon’s vehicle was not injured.
According to Sgt. Chad Wilkinson with Linn County Sheriff’s Office, at 6:07 p.m. First responders were called to an injury accident at the intersection of West Mount Vernon and Ballard Road.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a vehicle driven by Mary Goslin was eastbound on W Mt Vernon Rd near Ballard Rd when she crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle head on driven by Dragon.
Responding to the scene were Linn County Sheriff Deputies, Linn County Rescue, Iowa State Patrol, Mt Vernon Lisbon Police, Mt Vernon Lisbon Fire, Lisbon Mt Vernon Ambulance, and Area Ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
