The Mount Vernon Post Prom committee is holding a number of fundraisers this winter.
The first large fundraiser is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13.
The after prom committee will be bringing a donut express to town with glazed donuts, chocolate glazed and Kreme-filled glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme.
Donut orders can be picked up at the Mount Vernon High School Commons from 3 to 6 p.m. The dozen doughnuts will cost $15.
Checks and orders for donuts in the donut express need to be made by Jan. 30. Payments need to be made out to CAY-Post Prom and orders and checks should be mailed to Ted Neal, 518 Palisades Road, Mount Vernon, IA, 52314.
If people want to assist with the Post Prom Committee’s efforts, including volunteering, supporting the efforts financially or donating prizes to the after-prom party, contact [email protected].
If businesses would like to contribute, they can mail financial checks made out to CAY-Post Prom to Dawn Hanna, treasurer, at 1402 Palisades Road S.W., Mount Vernon, IA, 52314.
