Our middle school and high school book groups have been on hiatus while I was on maternity leave.
Now that I’m back in the swing of things at Cole Library, they’re resuming this month. Both groups meet once a month and are a great way for tweens and teens to connect though meaningful literature. Members select the books we read and each member gets a copy to keep thanks to donations from Hills Bank and Trust.
The book group reads a wide range of genres, from fantasy and sci-fi to historical and realistic fiction. We also often read a graphic novel or two. At the end of the year, it’s tradition that we watch a movie based off one of the books we read.
