The rain didn’t stop many shoppers from coming to Mount Vernon Saturday, Nov. 5, for the first of two Shop Small Saturdays in uptown Mount Vernon. Shop Small headquarters moved indoors to The Nourishing Root in uptown Mount Vernon due to the weather, but many stores saw increased foot traffic in uptown Mount Vernon.
Mount Vernon Bank and Trust and Lynch Ford and Chevrolet each contributed $1,000 in community cash that can be used in Mount Vernon and Lisbon businesses during the weekend.
The next Shop Small Saturday is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
