The Lions football season has come to an end.
The team traveled to East Buchanan Friday, Oct. 21, to challenge the Buccaneers, but fell to the home team by a score of 44-14.
“East Buchanan was a very physical team, and they controlled the line of scrimmage,” coach Phil Whitman said.
Lions quarterback Cohen Kamaus, a senior, posted the first Lisbon touchdown of the game with 53 seconds remaining in the opening quarter, carrying the ball from the 32 to the endzone. Gage Holub came through with the extra point.
Kamaus later carried the ball in the third quarter from the six yard line into the endzone, with Holub succeeding again with the extra point.
Indy Harbaugh, also a senior, featured 11 tackles in the game.
Lisbon wraps their season with a record of 5-4. The team opened the season by losing their first three of four, but correcting their course to win their next four games straight.
“It was a good season, and we will miss the seniors who were tremendous to be around,” Whitman said.
