The Mount Vernon-Lisbon cross country squad took part in the 42nd Annual West Delaware Hawks Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 4, with the girls placing third and the boys coming in fourth. The yearly event was held at Hart Ridge Golf Course.
Lourdes Mason once again scored the fastest time in the girls leg of the event, finishing in 18:35 for first place. Center Point-Urbana took first overall in team scoring.
Occupying the top spot in the boys competition was Jedidiah Osgood, a senior from Marion, who completed the trek in 15:29. Klayten Perreault scored the highest placing for the Mustangs at 23rd, with a time of 17:22.
