The Lisbon Lions varsity volleyball team continues to climb to higher heights, last week defeating both Calamus-Wheatland and Midland in three straight sets.
Tuesday, Sept. 20
The Lions first hosted the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors, defeating them in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-16.
Kali Nelson led the team’s assists, with 19 in the game. Peyton Robinson pounded the ball home for 3.7 kills in the match. Alissa Gaiser provided 3 blocks in the match, while Ava Czarnecki provided 13 digs.
Thursday, Sept. 22 Lisbon handled the Midland Eagles in Midland with even more ease, putting the home team away once again in three sets, 25-7, 25-8, and 25-9.
Nelson led with assists with 17 total in the match. Robinson had 3 kills in the game, and Ella Clark led blocks with 3. Addy Happel had 8 digs and Nelson had 2.7 service aces.
