The Options of Linn County Day Habilitation Program was awarded a three-year accreditation, the highest level of acceptance, from CARF International (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). CARF provides accreditation services worldwide at the request of health and human service providers.
In the accreditation notice, CARF International noted, “This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards.”
“Options of Linn County has been a long-standing staple of the community that serves individuals with disabilities. For over 30 years now Options of Linn County has been CARF accredited which is a testament to the commitment Linn County has to quality programming,” said Linn County Community Services Director David Thielen. “We are honored to once again officially recognized by this international accrediting body for meeting their high standards and best practices. We could not have done this without the hard working and caring nature of all our staff, especially through the pandemic.”
According to the CARF website, CARF accreditation signals a service provider’s commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community.
Options of Linn County provides Day Habilitation services to adults with disabilities as a department of Linn County Community Services. Options serves approximately 160 people annually. Learn more at LinnCountyIowa.gov/Options.
