The Lions scored a sizable win last Friday at Doug Jackson Field when they overpowered the North Cedar Knights 47-0.
Cohen Kamaus threw for 93 yards in the win, and had a hand in all of his team’s touchdowns, even making it into the endzone three times himself.
All of Lisbon’s touchdowns came in the first half, as the team’s starters were able to rest the majority of the third and fourth quarters.
Five touchdowns for the Lions came from rushing yards, while the other two came from Kamaus passes.
“It was a good win tonight,” said Lisbon head coach Phil Whitman. “Our kids came out and played pretty good ball. We jumped up early, and sat most of the starters in the second half. It was a good team win.”
Looking ahead to Friday’s matchup with the Alburnett Pirates, Whitman offered, “Alburnett is a very solid team.”
