In the update to the barns story in July 21, Curtis Blinks was not investigating moving the barn. He was looking into needs to steady the lean-to gabled barn. The barn is covered by insurance from the city, and he was unsure if $42,000 would be enough to stabilize the barn until he got inside the barn to inspect further. The Sun apologizes for the error.
In the story on the grants received by the Lisbon organizations, there were a number of errors. Ann Opatz is not a member of the Lisbon History Center, she is a member of the Lisbon Historic Preservation Commission. The organizations receiving grants from the Linn County Historic Preservation Commission were the Lisbon History Center Foundation and Friends of the Lisbon Library, not the historic preservation commission. The Lisbon History Center Foundation (not LHPC) is applying to another grant through the Linn County Economic and Community Development Fund to assist with the costs of the masonry rehabilitation on the History Center building. The Sun apologizes for the error.
