Senior Thatcher Krob of Lisbon was was among those receiving postseason honors for the Central College men’s track and field team this spring.
Krob earned his second varsity letter and was named the most improved performer award for 2022 for his distance running.
Krob placed fifth in the 3,000 steeplechase in the 2022 outdoor season.
On the women’s side at Central College, sophomore Summer Brand of Mount Vernon was recognized as well. Brand earned her first varsity letter and was named the newcomer of the year as a member of the Central College triathlon team.
The Dutch competed in four meets during its first full season, advancing to the USA Triathlon National Championships in November. Junior Lindsey Blommers (Pella) was the program’s first All-American after finishing in 13th amongst the other NCAA Division III athletes.
