Lyla LeGrand (Hanson), 66, of Bertram, passed away June 8, 2022, of cancer. A funeral service gathering of memories was held Monday, June 13, 2022, at Stewart Baxter Funeral and Memorial Services in Mount Vernon, by Celebrant Dawn Stephens. Visitation was held Sunday, June 12, at the funeral home with burial following at Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
Lyla was born in Cedar Rapids March 20, 1956 and went to Washington high school. She was very much in love with her three kids, 11 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lyla liked working on cars and house projects. She loved camping with her family and always went above and beyond on the holidays, especially Christmas.
Lyla was predeceased by her father, Clarence Hanson; sister, LaWonna Hanson and longtime friend of 37 years, Chuck LeGrand.
She is survived by her son, Rob Hanson (Cindy); two daughters, Kelly Haack (Eric) and Skyla Siech (Taylor) and eleven grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in Lyla’s name and may be directed to the family.
