The Lisbon girls golf team placed fourth in the 3A state golf tournament last Thursday and Friday.
The Lions ended their season 13-6, second place in the Tri-Rivers East Conference.
“I’m extremely proud of the girls with how they competed both days at state,” said coach Andy Kahl.
“We came into the meet with the seventh-best scoring average in the field, and finished fourth. This team believed they were one of the top teams in the state, and they proved it on a difficult golf course,” Kahl said.
“Kaylie (Kelchen) played great both days, placing tenth individually and earning a medal.
“These girls have been so fun to coach. The future is bright for the Lisbon girls golf program, and I’m excited to see it build off the success it had this year,” said Kahl.
