The Mount Vernon-Lisbon girls’ tennis team wrapped up their season last week, with an individual regionals loss to South Tama and a 5-3 loss to Camanche Saturday, May 14.
Wednesday, May 11The Mustangs took part in the individual regionals, with nine teams competing, and while Macy Eskelsen prevailed over South Tama’s Brooke Hitchcock, the duo of Kasia Wiebel and Kelsey Kamerling fell just short of a win over South Tama to bow out of the competition.
Saturday, May 14 The joint MV-L team wrapped their season Saturday, May 14, in the first round of Class 1A Region 3 action, falling 5-3 to Camanche Storm on the road.
The Mustangs ended their current term at 8-4 overall.
