The Mount Vernon girls track team placed third in the WaMaC Conference Meet Thursday, May 5 in Dyersville.
Solon took the top spot out of 13 teams with 180 points. Williamsburg was next with 90, while the Mustangs weren’t far behind at 83.
The Mustangs had second place finishes from Libby dix in discus with a throw of 129’11”, Emrie Johnson’s 11:20.84 run in 3,000 meters, the 4 x800 meter relay squad of Abbie Moss, Sam Schoff, Kameron Brand and Laura Swart’s time of 10:02.06, and the 800 meter run of Swart with a time of 2:26.80.
