The Linn County Auditor’s Office is now accepting absentee ballot request forms for the June primary election until 5 p.m. Monday, May 23.
There are three ways to obtain an absentee ballot request form:
• Download and print a form from Linn County’s website: www.LinnCountyIowa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/3702
• A blank form will be published in the weekly PennySaver starting April 27 and each of the following three weeks
• Call or email the Election Services Office at 319-892-5300 option 1 or [email protected]
Completed absentee ballot request forms can be mailed to Election Services, 935 2nd St SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404; deposited in the white drop box at the same address; or dropped off at the Elections Office on the second floor inside the Linn County Public Service Center.
The Auditor’s Office will begin mailing absentee ballots on Wednesday, May 18.
In-person, absentee voting will be available at the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St SW, Cedar Rapids. This early voting option will be available May 18 through June 6 during the following times:
• Normal business days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Weekends (including Memorial Day and weekend) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Saturday, June 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please be advised many precincts and polling places have changed due to redistricting following the 2020 Census. The Auditor’s Office will be mailing polling place information cards to all registered voters on May 18. Keep an eye out for the yellow postcard. Voters may also find their updated precinct and polling place information by entering their address at: www.linncountyelections-IA.gov/lookup.
