Mount Vernon LionsThe Mount Vernon Lions Club met on Monday, April 11 at Gwen’s Restaurant in Lisbon. The club discussed the best-shot golf tournament to be held on Saturday, June 4th at Kernousite Golf Club in Mount Vernon and its sponsorship of a new Lions Club to be formed in Ely.
Dave Ryan presented the program for the evening which was an update on the Mount Vernon High School Athletic Records Display Project. Many staff, students and community members have worked on this project over the last few years which displays in the High School commons the individual school records in various sports over the years.
The next Lions club meeting will be on Monday, April 25, also at Gwen’s when Rick Elliott will have the program.
