Ivor B. Lord, 91, of Lisbon, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, in his home. Per Ivor’s request, no funeral services will be held.
Ivor was born March 6, 1931, to Henry and Minnie (Mallet) Lord and graduated from Mechanicsville high school in 1948. He served in the Navy from 1948 to 1952. Ivor was employed by Iowa Electric from 1952 to 1958, then spent the remainder of his working years as a farmer until his retirement in 1996. Ivor was united in marriage to Mary Ferguson in 1953 and Mary passed away in 2002. He was a member of the American Legion for 70 years.
Ivor is survived by his children, Larry (Karen) Lord, Doug Lord, Kim Lord, Jim Lord and Linda (Jeff) Wilson; grandchildren, Christopher Lord, Tracey Lord, John Lord, Gina Lord, Andrew Lord, Colin Lord, Alexina Tuebel and Mitchel Wilson and sister, Naida Green.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents and sister, Alexina Edwards.
