Mount Vernon TrailblazersThe Mount Vernon Trailblazers January Meeting Jan 9 was held at the Mount Vernon Fire Department. The meeting was called to order at 4:24 p.m. by president Claire Gaffney. This followed the Parliamentary Procedure explanation by Mike Clark.
The secretary’s report was read by Miles Francois, there were no corrections to the minutes.
The treasurer’s report was read by Caleb Keegan, with more checks to be processed in and out in the future, one for $200 and one for $150. The report was motioned and approved.
The Community Service chair Owen Francois brought forward the plans to deliver nine pillows, nine mattress pads on Saturday, Jan. 15.
Mount Vernon Fire Department Pancake Breakfast will be April 16. We discussed club shirts and we are keeping the same design and color. Brad Stoner brought up the possibility of sweatshirts. The idea was motioned and approved.
Brad Stoner talked about how to organize a speech and gave a presentation on that to the club.
Next meeting will be Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Fire Department. The 4H pledge was led by Dottie Korte and the meeting was adjourned
