Bellevue Marquette Catholic increased their record to 2-4 when they traveled to Lisbon Tuesday and won it 36-23.
The low-scoring affair found Marquette shooting 31.2 percent from the field, and the Lions coming up short at 20.5 percent.
“The best thing about my girls is that they’ll battle until the end, even when it seems as though the situation is unfair or unequal,” said Lions head coach Diamond Boyd.
“They played hard and did some really great things that showed us lessons not only for on the court, but off it, also,” Boyd said.

The Lions did not fare much better on the road at Calamus-Wheatland, though they did put some more points on the board and chalk up some impressive statistics.
Additionally, Coach Boyd indicated the team was learning and growing.
“This season has been such a learning experience for all of us, and we are really really thankful that we’re able to do it together, as a family,” she said.
Lisbon’s Kali Nelson (No. 13) looks to pass to an open teammate in play last week.
