Cornell College will be hosting Homecoming activities Saturday, Oct. 9.
Cornell will be requiring all attendees to be wearing a mask when they are indoors if they are not eating or drinking.
Open houses of the new renovated spaces at McLennan College Hall, Russell Science Center and West Science Center will happen from 10 a.m. to noon, and attendees are encouraged to sign a beam that will become part of the Athletics and Wellness facilities from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The college will host an outdoor homecoming picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a football game vs. Lawrence University at Van Metre Field.
A homecoming art show reception and gallery talk will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., with art lecturers Sandy Dyas and Susan Coleman leading a talk beginning at 4 p.m.
Van Etten-Lacy House and Foxden Press will also hold an open house from 3-5 p.m.
The college’s 50th reunion events will be postponed this year, with the class of 1970 and 1971 being invited back to campus next summer to celebrate those reunions.
