During warmer months, many in-home daycare providers walk their children to the library for story time. But in colder months, it is more of a challenge to get to the library. Because both daycare providers and Cole Library understand the importance of early literacy, we have a book delivery program for Mount Vernon at-home daycares - The Book Buddies Program.

Repairing books can be a difficult and unrewarding endeavor. Using tape is an obvious modern solution, but we have all been witness to a sad book with yellowing tape, or seen a book with crusty residue from years-old duct tape that has since become history.
