Ingrid Mae Virlee was welcomed into the world by her parents, Drew and Renee (Jennings) Virlee, of Mount Vernon, at 1:16 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017. Ingrid was born at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, and weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

Charles Bradley Eichhorn

Brad and Katie (Pitlik) Eichhorn announce the early arrival of their son, Charles Bradley Eichhorn. Charlie surprised the family with his early arrival at 3:22 a.m. Jan. 9, 2017. Charlie was born three months early, weighing 3.3 pounds and was 16 inches long. Charlie was able to settle in at home March 17 after 67 days in the NICU.

Tasha Redmond and Daniel Tatara have announced their engagement. Tasha is a 2010 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and a 2014 graduate of Clarke University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communications with minors in business and Spanish. She works for Kinseth Hospitality Companies as a sales manager for the new Hilton Garden Inn in Iowa City.

Chris Schonhorst and Tiffany Yeisley of Cedar Rapids announce the birth of their daughter, Clara. She was born Friday, March 31, 2017, weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces and measuring 19 1/2 inches long. Clara was welcomed home by big sisters Skylar and DonnaLee.
